LEAGUE GAMES (Winter Rules)
1. TIMES OF MATCHES
Matches shall commence at 7.30pm, or at 7.00 pm where there is only one carpet available.
2. TEAMS

(b) Each block will consist of 4 players.
(c) Blocks will be declared as per the League score sheets.

Please note that Skips will not be eligible to play more than twice
  at a 2 mat venue:
  Home Team
The Team Captain declares the players and their positions for Blocks 2 & 3 with Block 1 being short. To fill the vacant positions in Block 1, a random draw is made by the opposing Captain from those playing in Block 3 (excluding the skip) for the first game and Block 2 (excluding the skip) for the second. The Team Captain will then declare the players positions in Block 1, whilst ensuring that no one plays in the same position more than twice.
  Away Team
As above but with Block 2 being short and being completed using players from Block 3 for the first game and from Block 1 for the second game.
at a 1 mat venue:
The Team Captain declares the players and their positions for Blocks 2 & 3 with Block 1 being short. To fill the vacant positions in Block 1, a random draw is made by the opposing Captain from those playing in Block 3 (excluding the skip) for the first game and Block 2 (excluding the skip) for the second. The Team Captain will then declare the players positions in Block 1, whilst ensuring that no one plays in the same position more than twice.
3. DURATION OF MATCHES
Each match will consist of 6 games, each game will consist of 6 ends with exception of matches held at venues with only one carpet when games will consist of only 5 ends. In this case the total shots scored will be multiplied up by 20% (rounded down).
4. PRACTICE
There will be no practice ends at League matches, Cup matches or Tournaments.
5. THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE CAPTAINS
(a) The Captains shall declare their teams in their positions, in blocks as per the league score sheets before the match commences. (b) It is the responsibility of the home Captain to send the result sheets to the Fixtures Secretary after each league match.

(d) If a match has to be cancelled the home Captain will inform the Fixtures Secretary.
6. RULES OF PLAY
(a) Each of the four players in the block will bowl two woods.
(b) It is the responsibility of the Skip to nominate one member of his block to give advice when he is bowling. Instructions must only be given by this nominated person.

2. DURATION OF GAMES

The draw for the knockout stages of the competitions will not take into account teams from the same club playing one another.
3. GROUP MATCHES

(g) A single end play-off between the tied teams
5. KNOCKOUT ROUNDS
Qualification for the knockout rounds will be determined on the same basis as Group positions.
Matches up to the Quarter Finals will be played to the whistle, thereafter games will be untimed. If the scores are tied at the end of a game an extra end will be played. In this event there will be a coin toss with the winner deciding who will bowl first.
6. PENALTIES
Any team (player) not present when the whistle is blown to start their game will lose the first end and 2 shots. After five minutes the game will be forfeit and a score of 8-0 awarded against the absent team (player).
