"On behalf of my wife
Rita, our sons Tom and Sam, and myself we just wanted to pass
on our profound and deepest thanks for all those who have wished
Rita a speedy recovery from the heart attack which she suffered
at the Suffolk Pairs qualifying session at Needham on Sunday
27th Feb. This warm response is entirely typical of the bowls
community and it has been a source of comfort and strength, so
again, thanks very much. I am happy to report that the treatment
at Papworth to insert a stent was successful and Rita was allowed
home on Tuesday. She is understandably tired, but recovering.
We are acutely aware that without
the prompt attendance and action by Mike, from the local Community
First Responders Group, we would quite possibly have been looking
at a different outcome. With this in mind and to express our
gratitude we have set up a Just Giving appeal to raise funds
to support the Needham Market & Claydon Community First Responders
Group. There is an immediate need to fund a specialised type
of smart phone with extremely precise location tracking so it
would be great to raise enough to cover the cost to obtain and
licence one of these for at least a year, and also provide some
funds on top of this which could be used towards other equipment
that the Group needs. We hope that you will support this worthwhile
venture - all donations will be greatly appreciated whatever
the size.
We look forward to meeting
up with you all again at some point in the future so we can say
thanks in person."
With grateful thanks
Pete, Rita, Tom and Sam Runnacles
