It is with great sadness that
I have to pass on the news that Mick Adams died on Wednesday
9 December, in St Nicholas Hospice, Bury St Edmunds.
His friends & team-mates
at Brockley all have fond memories of bowling with Mick &
he will be sorely missed by all of us.
Mick was a real club man, who
always put the team first & was great fun to bowl with.
Before bowling with Brockley,
he also played for Stanningfield & Sizewell. I remember when
he was moving back into the area, he called me & asked if
I could recommend a club he could bowl at. I didn't need to think
at all, I knew he would fit in at Brockley & since 2011,
he was someone we could always rely on.
Mick also gave a lot back to
the game, he served on the SCBA Committee, was our club secretary
& at the time of his death, was Chairman of the Bury League.
Mick was a popular bowler around
the Suffolk & Bury League circuit, played the game with a
smile on his face & was a genuine gentleman of our game.
Our thoughts are with his wife
Jean & family at this sad time.
R.I.P. Mick, you will be greatly
missed by both those you bowled with & against.
